Santiago De Compostela

The capital of Galicia, the arcaded streets of Santiago de Compostela are used to the footsteps and the delighted admirations of visitors. World famous as the final destination of the legendary ‘Way of Saint James’ (a medieval pilgrimage route), the city attracts visitors and pilgrims from around the world, cementing its reputation as one of the most famous places in Catholicism. The intricate and ornate city centre is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, not least because of the grand cathedral that dominates the city’s skyline.
